Steady Hands for Organisations in a Difficult Stretch
Ember Cliff was founded to give leaders and teams in Bangkok a thoughtful, unhurried outside perspective during periods of operational strain.
Back to HomeHow Ember Cliff Came to Be
Ember Cliff started in Bangkok in 2018 with a fairly simple observation: when organisations hit a rough stretch operationally, the advice they most needed was often the hardest to find. Large consulting firms were designed for transformation and scale. Individual coaches tended to focus on personal development. Neither sat comfortably in the middle — with the teams doing the day-to-day work, helping them find a more workable rhythm.
The founders came from backgrounds in operations management and organisational process work. They had both spent time inside companies during difficult periods, and both had come to value what a calm, well-prepared outside view could offer — not a takeover, not a report that sat on a shelf, but a real working relationship.
Since then, Ember Cliff has worked with small and mid-sized organisations across Bangkok and the wider Thai business community. The work remains deliberately personal. We keep engagement sizes modest so we can give each situation the attention it actually deserves.
What We Are Trying to Do
We exist to help organisations in Thailand find their footing during periods of operational difficulty — and to do it in a way that respects the people inside those organisations. Good advisory work in this space is not about imposing solutions. It is about creating enough steadiness that the people who know the business best can make good decisions again.
Assess before advising
We do not form opinions before we understand the situation. Every engagement starts with careful listening.
Stabilise alongside your team
The people doing the work are part of the solution. We work with them, not around them.
Rebuild at a pace that holds
Lasting improvement is gradual. We support recovery that an organisation can maintain after we step back.
Who You Work With
Our advisors have worked inside organisations during difficult periods and understand what that feels like from the inside.
Priya Wattanaporn
Lead Operational Advisor
Priya spent twelve years in operations management across Bangkok's manufacturing and services sectors before moving into advisory work. She leads the majority of assessment and stabilisation engagements.
Nattapong Klinprasong
Process and Restructuring Advisor
Nattapong focuses on the process side of turnaround work — mapping how things currently operate, identifying where unnecessary strain accumulates, and supporting teams in building more workable routines.
Siriporn Lertsuwanchai
Client Relations and Advisory Support
Siriporn manages the day-to-day relationship with clients throughout engagements, handles written follow-up, and ensures that communication stays clear and timely at every stage.
Our Working Standards
These are not aspirations on a wall. They are the practical commitments we hold ourselves to in every engagement.
Confidentiality
Everything discussed in our sessions stays within the engagement. We do not share client information, reference past clients by name, or use details from one engagement in another.
Written Follow-Up
Every session results in written notes. We do not rely on memory. Our follow-up documents are clear, brief, and sent promptly — typically within 24 hours of each session.
Named Advisor Continuity
You work with the same advisor throughout your engagement. We do not pass work between team members without your knowledge and agreement.
Candid Communication
We say what we observe, even when it is uncomfortable. Our value comes from honesty, not from telling clients what they want to hear. We do this with tact and care, but we do not soften things to the point of uselessness.
Scope Discipline
We stay within the scope agreed at the start of an engagement. If we see something outside that scope that concerns us, we raise it — but we do not expand unilaterally.
Data Handling
We handle any documentation or data shared with us securely, and do not retain materials after an engagement closes unless specifically agreed in writing. Client data is covered by our Privacy Policy.
Operational Difficulty Is Not a Failure of Character
Most operational problems that bring organisations to a point of real strain are not the result of incompetence or bad leadership. They are the accumulation of pressures — market shifts, staffing changes, rapid scaling without matching infrastructure, or simply a period of sustained difficulty that has worn people down. Leadership teams in these situations are often doing their best in a context that has become genuinely hard.
What we offer at Ember Cliff is a way of looking at that situation from the outside, without the weight of the history that makes it hard to see clearly from within. We are not in the business of assigning blame or producing reports that identify what went wrong. We are focused on what can be done next, and on doing it in a way that the organisation can actually absorb and sustain.
Our work draws on established approaches to operational process review, workload analysis, and organisational routines. We adapt these to the specific context of each client rather than applying a single framework. Bangkok's business environment has its own characteristics — its pace, its relationship norms, its mix of Thai-owned and internationally operated businesses — and we work within that context rather than importing approaches that were designed elsewhere.
The name Ember Cliff reflects something of how we see our work. An ember is what remains when a fire has burned too hot — not extinguished, but needing careful attention to become useful again. A cliff is ground that holds firm. Together, they describe what we hope to offer: a stable base from which something can be rebuilt.
